That's the 2nd time you've made a comment about my pants. Not all of us can be as well dressed as you my friend. And by the expression on my face, you'd of thought I'd cut one.
Kevin has been playing guitar for 25 years. His earliest musical influences were the artists he’d heard in the 70s on his four older sibling’s rock, disco, and pop records. He was influenced at an early age to play guitar by his sister Linda who bought an acoustic guitar. He loved the sound of the instrument and wanted to play like the guys on the records. Eventually he received an old classical guitar from his cousin Brian but Kevin longed for an electric guitar because like all guitar players...he wanted to be louder. After years of begging his parents, he finally received his first electric guitar on his 13th birthday. His earliest heroes were players like Eddie Van Halen, Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. Kevin grew up playing in rock bands which were mainly original projects and a few cover bands. In the late 1990s, one of the original projects he was involved with led to him meeting bassist Jamie Cox. After a few shows the band split amicably but Kevin and Jamie agreed that they should form another band in the future. Kevin had seen Dfunk a few times in its early incarnations and it made him really want to be a part of a fun dance band. In February of 2008, he was approached by Jamie to join Dfunk. Kevin was ecstatic to have the opportunity to play with a great band and play music that people enjoy and dance to. However, Kevin cannot dance.
